As trusted plumbers in the Howard County, Maryland area, we’ve been asked our fair share of plumbing related questions by homeowners just like you. Why do they trust us? Because we’ve been a part of the plumbing industry since 1977. With decades of experience under our belts, your neighbors know that we are the experts they can trust to answer all their plumbing questions honestly.
Our licensed plumbers have years of experience to troubleshoot any plumbing problem you may be experiencing. In fact in Maryland only licensed professionals are qualified to work on any plumbing or gas fixture in your house or business. We cannot tell you how many emergency calls we receive because a homeowner tried to make their own repairs!
The functionality of any home relies heavily on its drain lines, which carry the unwanted water and waste out of your home. If the drains become sluggish or clogged, they can cause a lot of damage from a sewage backup. You can tell if you have a sewage problem by looking for the warning signs: slow draining, toilet gurgling when you flush it, waster rising out of the drains, and more!
Blockages are caused by grease that builds up inside pipes as it drains from the kitchen sink. In bathroom drain pipes, we often see blockages due to items other than waste and toilet paper that have been flushed down the drain or lodged in the trap of the toilet itself. If you have frequent problems with your drains you could have a problem with your main line outside that runs from the house to the county connection. We can camera that line to determine if there is a bigger problem and help you resolve it. If you’re trying to fix the clog yourself, use a plunger. If that doesn’t dislodge the clogged substance, contact a professional who can help.
Yes. If your toilet is constantly running, you are wasting your hard earned money. Leaking toilets can drastically increase how much your water bills are. If the toilet continues to run after the toilet is flushed, it indicates that some part of the fixture is out of order and needs to be replaced.
You can expect your water heater to last for more than ten years depending on how well it is maintained, the water quality in your area, and how well it was installed in your home. If you notice leaks, tripped circuit breakers, or rust showing at the bottom of the tank, you may need a hot water heater replacement sooner rather than later.
This is usually a small, inexpensive problem that can be fixed rather quickly. If you are experiencing a dripping faucet, it may be time to replace the hardware—which will fix your dripping problem! Our trained plumbers can advise you at the time of your visit on what needs to be done to fix your faucet.
When the weather is very cold outside, let the cold water drip from the faucet served by exposed pipes. Moving water is harder to freeze than water that is not moving when your faucets are turned off. By doing so, you will have a better chance of preventing the pipes from freezing. Another way to try and keep you water lines from freezing is to make sure your walls are insulated well and to seal up any cracks or spaces where outside air can get into your home. Also make sure that your thermostat is set no lower than 55 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and at night.
